Logo design for Web 2.0 brands

Great collection of recent Web 2.0 logos, collected by flickr member Stabilo Boss a hot-linked version is on that site.
Logo design for Web 2.0 brands are following a traceable aesthetic trend,

1. Bright, bold, happy colors
2. Simple iconography
3. Clean typographical treatment

Overall, the trend is user-friendly, simplicity from company naming through overall look and feel.

"Nonsensical buzz words do nothing to communicate value, benefit, or story..."

Love this!! In a previous life at a Fortune-500-type-company, colleagues and I would actually play buzzword bingo. Not the most polite thing to do, but the corporate speak was unbearable. We were trying to keep our sanity.

So many press releases I see are filled to the rim meaningless buzz words. There is no need for me to say it all again when Jennifer A. Jones says it so well. Check out her blog. Enjoy.
